THETA MOMS

Theta Moms is all about supporting our sons, our chapter, and the families that make up Mississippi Theta. It gives moms a way to stay involved in their sons’ SAE experience while also building friendships and connections with other Theta families.

WHAT WE DO

Theta Moms works throughout the year to support the chapter in big and small ways. Whether we’re helping with an event, providing meals, decorating the house, supporting recruitment, or filling a need behind the scenes, our goal is always the same—to support our young men and help make their time at Mississippi State SAE amazing. 

events & traditions

Some of our favorite moments are the ones that bring our SAE families together. Theta Moms helps with events throughout the year, including New Member & Parents’ Brunch, Parents’ Weekend, Boys' Christmas dinner, holiday activities, and other chapter events and traditions.

These events give parents a chance to spend time with their sons, meet other families, and become part of the Mississippi Theta community.

RECRUITMENT

Recruitment is an important and busy time for Mississippi Theta, and Theta Moms is there to help. From meals and refreshments to decorations, supplies, and whatever else may be needed, our moms work together to support the chapter and our young men during recruitment.

SUPPORTING OUR SONS

College may mean our sons are becoming more independent, but that doesn’t mean Mom has completely left the building.

Theta Moms gives us a way to support and encourage our sons without taking over their experience. Sometimes that means feeding a house full of hungry college boys, sometimes it means showing up for an event, and sometimes it simply means being there when the chapter needs us.

GET INVOLVED

There is a place for every Theta Mom, no matter where you live or how much time you have to give. Some moms volunteer at events, some contribute food or supplies, some help with planning, and others lend a hand whenever they can.

You don’t have to do everything to be involved. Every contribution matters, and we are always happy to welcome another Theta Mom.

STAY CONNECTED 

Theta Moms also helps keep our families connected throughout the year by sharing important dates, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, chapter needs, and other information parents need to know.

More than anything, Theta Moms is about community—supporting our sons, supporting one another, and being part of the Mississippi Theta family during four very special years and beyond.
